Paul is the District Engineer, District 7 for the Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) Metro Atlanta District since March 2021. Paul’s responsibilities include improving safety, pavement condition, aesthetics and congestion on 1,700 miles of interstates, 2,300 miles of state routes and 611 bridges in 6 metro Atlanta counties.
Paul has served in several roles during his 14-year career at GDOT including Traffic Design Engineer, State Traffic Operations Manager in the Office of Traffic Operations and District Preconstruction Engineer. Paul was also the Executive Assistant to the Chief Engineer in the Chief Engineer’s Office.
Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Georgia and a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
