Will Cagle is a public servant and community leader serving as the District 1 Commissioner on the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners in Georgia. A seventh-generation Cherokee County native, Cagle’s deep roots in the community reflect his lifelong commitment to the county’s people and heritage. Before entering public office, he served in the United States Marine Corps and later became a small business owner, operating a masonry company that serves North Georgia. He is also a father of four, a graduate of Cherokee High School, attended Appalachian Technical College, and is active in his local Baptist church.
Since taking office in 2025 to fill the Post 1 vacancy, Cagle has focused his work on fiscal responsibility, local economic growth, and community-centered governance. His policy priorities include reducing wasteful spending, supporting local contractors in county projects, promoting responsible land use that balances growth with conservation, and addressing social issues such as the shortage of foster homes in the county
