Brett Buchanan
Transportation Director
Cherokee County
Brett Buchanan, PE, MSc, previously worked for 17 years with the Cherokee County Engineering Department before becoming Transportation Director in June 2021. He has 31 years of civil engineering experience from both the public and private sectors. Brett is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University and a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee.




Patrick Bradshaw
SPLOST Roadway Program Director
Cherokee County
Patrick Bradshaw brings 15 years of transportation planning and project delivery experience to Cherokee County. Before Cherokee, Patrick worked in several roles at the Atlanta Regional Commission, all pertaining to the development, maintenance and delivery of the Atlanta region’s Transportation Improvement Program, which outlines all short-term transportation investments which utilize federal funding.  He also served as a jurisdiction liaison to various local governments in the 20-county Atlanta region, assisting with the development of their county transportation planning efforts. Patrick holds a Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Policy Studies from Georgia State University. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Patrick enjoys gardening, raising chickens, fishing and DIY projects around the house in his spare time. He lives in Marietta with his wife and two children.
