Scott serves as the General Services Agency Director for Cherokee County, where he oversees Capital Projects, Facilities Management, Fleet Management, and Information Systems & Technology, including GIS. Having previously served as County Commissioner for District 4 from 2015-2018 and as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Woodstock from 2011-2014, Scott has spent over a decade serving Cherokee County.
For 35 years, Scott has been a trusted advisor to hundreds of city, county, state, federal, commercial/industrial, K12, healthcare, parks/leisure, faith, and higher education clients. He is a skilled collaborator, team builder, creative thinker, registered architect, LEED Accredited Professional and is accomplished in the application of applied technology and sustainability principles through design. Since earning his degrees, Scott has consistently served in the community and was a founding member of three organizations formed to meet unaddressed community needs. He has served as both an appointed and elected official and sits on the boards of numerous professional and community organizations. Scott is a member of the American Institute of Architects who awarded him the prestigious Citizen Architect Honor Award for his service to the profession through connecting communities and design.
