Terri Lee is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Atlanta Housing (AH).
With more than 20 years of experience and service helping to house residents of all backgrounds and income levels across the southeast, Terri is one of the nation’s most trusted and sought-after experts in public policy and housing affordability. Prior to taking the helm of Georgia’s largest public housing authority, Terri served as Chief Operating Officer for AH, following her distinguished appointment as the City of Atlanta’s first Chief Housing Officer, where she was responsible for spearheading the One Atlanta Housing Affordability Action Plan, which was to mobilize $1 billion from private and public sources to create and preserve affordable housing throughout the city.
An impactful community development professional, Terri is an operations strategist with a proven record of employing creative solutions to improve outcomes within the public and non- profit business sectors. She is a sought-after organizational improvement expert, with successful projects including restructuring and realigning housing and development agencies; implementing strategies to encourage neighborhood stabilization efforts; and formulating policies to create community development investment opportunities that stimulate neighborhood transformation and growth.
A proud HBCU graduate, Terri holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Grambling State University and a Master of Public Policy and Administration degree from Jackson State University. Terri is a lifelong member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a public service organization.
