Join the Council for Quality Growth's DeKalb County Advisory Roundtable on November 7th at 8:30 AM in-person at Druid Hills Golf Club to hear a DeKalb County MARTA Transit-oriented development (TOD) update from Michael Rafshoon.

Michael Rafshoon has been a member of MARTA’s government affairs and transit-oriented-development team since 2022. At MARTA, Michael leads rezoning efforts, public engagement, grant solicitations and policy initiatives in DeKalb County and at the State Capitol. Most recently, Michael shepherded Indian Creek’s and Kensington’s master plans through the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners. As the region embraces bus rapid transit in the City of Atlanta, Clayton County, and DeKalb County, Michael spearheads policy changes and large-scale transit-oriented-development along forthcoming routes.
Before joining MARTA, Michael founded Rafshoon Strategies, a political consulting firm. Rafshoon Strategies assists candidates for offices at all levels of government and political action committees with fundraising, compliance, operations, and strategic communications. In recent election cycles, Michael worked fourteen state legislative candidates, many of whom defeated incumbents. Additionally, he has managed or been involved in races in North Carolina, Virginia, and Montana. When he’s not in the office, you can find him crisscrossing the country on Vice President Kamala Harris’s national advance team.
