Jason Dykes
District Engineer at GDOT

Jason Dykes is the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) District Engineer responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of state routes for District 1, covering 21 Northeast Georgia counties.
A 2001 graduate of Georgia Southern University, Jason holds a degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He began his 23-year career with Georgia DOT in 2002 and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia.
Jason started with Georgia DOT in the District 1 Design office in Gainesville. He advanced to a variety of positions within the district including the offices of Construction, Utilities and Traffic Operations.
In 2024, Dykes was named as District Engineer for the Georgia DOT's Northeast District.
Jason and his wife, Amy, and their 3 boys live in Dawson County.
