Forsyth County Board of Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills has been serving as a County Commissioner for District 4 since 2013.
Among her list of numerous accomplishments and various awards is her recent 2024 ACCG Cornerstone Award, presented by the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia to county officials who demonstrate extraordinary dedication of time and efforts to ACCG and provide outstanding service to their county.
Cindy will proudly leave office having had the foresight for the planning of the Coal Mountain Town Center and the prospect of the halo effect to come.
In addition to her duties as Commissioner, Cindy serves the citizens as chair of the ACCG Committee on Mental Health & Substance Abuse; member of the National Association of Counties Health Steering Committee; founder of the Forsyth County Drug Awareness Council; founding member of the North Forsyth 400 Rotary Club; and ongoing work with North Forsyth schools promoting wellness and healthy living.
Commissioner Mills is an active member and Sunday school teacher at Oak Grove Baptist Church and holds her two daughters and six grandchildren among those she is most grateful for.
