Join the Council for Quality Growth's Gwinnett County Advisory Roundtable on August 27th at 8:00 AM in-person at Andersen, Tate & Carr in Duluth to hear an update from Mayor Barbara Bender at the City of Snellville.

Barbara has served on the Snellville City Council for sixteen years and has served as Mayor since January 2019. She grew up in Gwinnett County and graduated from Parkview High School. She received her BBA in Accounting from Georgia State University.
In her work life, she is a Certified Public Accountant and owns her CPA firm located in Lawrenceville. Her practice focuses on tax preparation and planning services for estates, trusts, individuals and small businesses.
In addition to her role as Mayor, she is active in our community as the President of the Snellville Community Foundation, the organization that built the Snellville Veterans Memorial. She is on the editorial board for the Snellville Spirit magazine and is a member of the finance council of her church, St. Oliver’s Catholic Church in Snellville.
She has served on the Executive Board of the Gwinnett Municipal Association for nine years, serving as President in 2018 and 2019.
She is a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2011.
Barbara has been married for 39 years to Greg Bender and has two grown children, Nick and Katie.
