Tony Carnell is a Professional Engineer and a proud native of Henry County. He has held roles of increasing responsibility throughout his 27-year career with Henry County Water Authority (HCWA).
In his newly appointed role as General Manager, he’s responsible for the strategic, financial, and general oversight of HCWA operations and the HCWA management team. He also works closely with the HCWA Board of Directors to ensure HCWA’s commitment of providing the highest quality water, exceeding regulatory requirements as well providing excellent customer service.
HCWA is an award-winning water system with approximately 275 dedicated employees. HCWA was recently recognized by Georgia Section of the American Water Works Association (GAWWA) with the Plant of the Year Award, in addition to many other awards and honors from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP). HCWA is also recognized by industry peers and the local community as a leader in advanced meter technology, education and outreach programs, which reflects the continuous hard work of HCWA leadership and staff.
