Join the Council for Quality Growth's North Fulton Advisory Roundtable on September 1, 2023 at 8:15 AM in-person at the CQG Office at Palisades Office Park to hear an update from Scott Haggard, Director of Government and External Affairs for three State of Georgia transportation authorities: the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority (ATL), State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA).

Scott Haggard serves as Director of Government and External Affairs for three State of Georgia transportation authorities: the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority (ATL), State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA), where he manages government affairs and external strategic relationships of the state’s mobility organization.

Scott has had an extensive career in government and public policy.  He previously served as Government Affairs Manager for the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Atlanta area, where he played a significant role in helping to pass landmark state transportation and transit legislation.  Prior to his tenure at ARC, Scott was with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) as Director of Government Relations, served a former Gwinnett County Commission Chairman as Special Assistant for External Affairs, and worked in Washington, DC and Georgia for two former Members of Congress.

Scott is currently serving a two-year term as President of the Georgia Transit Association, and is on the Board of the Leadership Gwinnett Foundation. He has served on the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Gwinnett Advisory Board, the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs Alumni Board, and the City of Peachtree Corners Redevelopment Authority.  Scott holds a Master of Public Administration degree from George Washington University and a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Georgia.
