Hunter Hines brings over a decade of hands-on experience in airport management and operations across both Commercial Service and General Aviation airports. A proud graduate of Auburn University, Hunter earned dual degrees in Aviation Management and Public Administration in 2010, laying a strong foundation for a career dedicated to aviation excellence and community service.
Before joining DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) in 2019, Hunter served as Airport Manager at Southwest Georgia Regional Airport in Albany, Georgia. His leadership there focused on improving operational efficiency, safety standards, and enhancing commercial aviation in South Georgia. Prior to that role, he honed his skills managing airport operations departments at Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon and at Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport in Birmingham, Alabama.
Hunter is passionate about fostering safe, efficient, and community-oriented airport environments. He believes airports are more than just transportation hubs—they’re vital connections for economic development and public service. At PDK, he continues to champion operational excellence while engaging with local residents, businesses, and aviation enthusiasts to ensure the airport remains a valued part of the community.
