*Rescheduled Date* Henry County Advisory Roundtable with District 4 Commissioner Michael Price

Commissioner, District 4
Henry County Government
District IV Commissioner Michael Price was appointed in March 2024 to fill the unexpired term of the vacant District IV Commission seat. Subsequently, he ran in the November 5, 2024 special election, which led to a runoff election in December 2024, where he successfully won the District IV Commission seat.
Price is a fifth-generation native of Henry County and a 1988 graduate of Henry County High School and has deep roots in the county he loves. In addition to his duties as Commissioner, he is a dedicated minister and community servant, having preached his first public sermon on December 27, 1992 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Griffin, GA. Over the years, he has faithfully led three congregations as a senior pastor: Pine Chapel Baptist Church in Zebulon, GA (1994-1998), Bethlehem Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA (1998-2002), and Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA (2004-present). In October 2024, he celebrated 20 years as the longest-serving pastor of the historic Shoal Creek Baptist Church, the oldest African American Baptist church in Henry County, established in 1866. He is honored to serve in the same church where Martin Luther King Sr. pastored from 1930-1932.
Beyond his pastoral work, Michael Price has a strong background in public service and skilled trades. He previously worked for Henry County's Department of Transportation for 12 years, starting as an Equipment Operator I and rising to Lead Equipment Operator, overseeing paving crews and district operations. His work allowed him to gain an in-depth understanding of the county's infrastructure. He is also a self-taught construction professional with expertise in carpentry, electrical work and plumbing and is the owner of a repair and remodeling company. His hands-on experience gives him a deep understanding of quality construction and development, which aids him in his role as a county commissioner.
He is also a skilled and successful photographer and owns and operates Right Choice Photography LLC, further demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and love of learning.
Price’s passion for serving others extends beyond his elected position, the pulpit and construction industry. He is the founder and CEO of Samaritan Outreach Ministries Inc., established in 2009 through his church. The ministry is dedicated to fulfilling the mission of Matthew 25—feeding the homeless, clothing the needy, and providing support to those in distress.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Michael Price remains committed to faith, service and community. His leadership, experience and dedication continue to impact Henry County and beyond.
