Patrick Ejike serves as the Director of Community Development Department operations for Clayton County Georgia. Mr. Ejike’s responsibilities include urban planning, zoning, business license, building permit, housing & urban development grants, and geographic information systems, all of which contribute to the transformation of the built environment.
He is a champion of process improvement and has been instrumental in implementing technology that has improved efficiency and accountability within the area of his responsibilities.
He brings a wealth of local government legislative, operational and administrative practical experience in governance. Patrick Ejike has over twenty-Five (25) years of managerial experience in local government in the areas of urban planning, zoning, land development, environmental controls, building permit, business license, cadastral mapping, and geographic information system (GIS).
Prior to becoming Clayton County’s Community Development Department Director, he held positions as DeKalb County’s Planning and Development Director; Associate Director, Development Department; Assistant Director, Human & Community Development Department; Planning Manager, Planning Department; and GIS Manager for Fulton County.
Patrick Ejike attained his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and his Master of Urban and Regional Planning Degree from the University of New Orleans, New Orleans Louisiana.
